Description
"A new technique for washing artworks on paper"
A talk by Nicholas Burnett
Immersion washing of multi-layered papers including Chine-collé prints, pasteboards eg. Bristol Board, lined papers and photographs, such as Blanquart-Evrard prints, can produce unwanted side effects such as bubbling, blistering, partial separation and delamination. The lecture will describe new washing techniques that minimise such unwanted side effects.
Nichloas Burnett is Chief Executive/Chief Conservator of Museum Conservation Services Ltd
Doors open at 6pm for a prompt start at 6.30pm
